In June 2020, Oracle Construction and Engineering announced new lower pricing and improved licensing options for Oracle Primavera Cloud. Oracle Primavera Cloud also offers a low initial minimum user requirement and excellent flexibility in assigning licenses based on need. This combination allows companies to subscribe to just the desired functionality, lowering the overall cost per user.
At Monks Project Solutions, we believe this presents an excellent opportunity for our smaller public sector, construction and engineering clients to move to the Oracle cloud. P6 Professional and P6 Enterprise (EPPM) are the mainstay scheduling and project management tools for many of our clients—and have been for many years. Moving to the Oracle P6 EPPM cloud requires a minimum user count of 25, which puts it out of reach for many of our clients. Oracle Primavera Cloud offers many of the same scheduling capabilities available in P6 EPPM but with a minimum starting point of just five users.
Oracle Primavera Cloud also offers integrated lean scheduling and a mobile application for schedule updating and time reporting. The functionality of the mobile app is similar to the Team Member functionality offered in P6 EPPM.
